| Counseling centerWelcome! Welcome to the counseling Program at dale young Community High! Dale Young Community High can provide you with a variety of services including academic advisement,post high school planning, and career information. we can help you to develop and manage healthy life skills, healthy relationships, and coping skills. we also provide responsive services.Responsive services included crisis response, mental and emotional wellness skills, group counseling, and individual counseling. if you need services that we cannot provide we can help you find someone who can help you. Contacting us:We encourage parents to call for an appointment to avoid waiting for service. to reach the Counseling office, call(435) 734-4834 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. we encourage students to make appointments in the counseling center, but students may come in on a walk-in basis if in crisis, during breaks or when refered by a school staff member. Disclosure Notice:We make every effort to follow the counseling guidelines contained in the american school Counselor association code of Ethics. this means we will keep the information you share with us confidential-unless you give us permission to share it, or unless we are required by law or school policy to share it.Examples of when we must share your informationwe must consult with other professionals to better help you when we are required to release information by school policy, state law, and/or the code of Ethics for professionals counselorsfor example: if we believe you are at risk of harming yourself or others if we believe someone is trying to hurt you if a judge orders us to provide information in court if a law is broken if you have any question or worries about these privacy rules, please tell us! your safety and welfare are our highest priorities. About our counselorsthe professional school counselor at DYCHS is licensed by the Utah State Office of Education. The counseling and guidance program at DYCHS meets all accreditation standards required by the Utah State Office of Education.
